Hey guys this is Aileen blogging live from the CTN Animation Expo.
So far we've got people interested in becoming student in the future. We also had two guys who wanted to offer internship to our school =D.
This morning I had breakfast with some of the professional and tat gave me a lot great tips and advice. Story is key, every studio is looking for story people. Start making your own business cards so you can give your info to the professionals. Always carry a sketchbook of course. When doing character always focus on silhouettes. And above all NETWORK! This convention was one of the best networking experience I had at a convention, and trust me I've been to many, many conventions.
Some tips I have for everyone who's coming or coming in the future is:
- Bring all your art books get them signed! We have a guy who does the Visual Development for Pixar is here!!! Lou Romano!!
-Bring your portfolio there are a lot of people willing to give you guys portfolio reviews. very Helpful.
- Make sure your bank account and wallets are full. There are lots of discount and new books on sell by the artists themselves who will sign it for you.
